Holidays with a 50 and Family

It had been a few years since I’ve been able to make it home for Christmas. I’ve made a couple Thanksgivings and spent one Christmas in Ohio. So it was great to spend a week in Manhattan over the holidays with friends and family.

Since this trip wasn’t work related, I traveled light when it came to photo gear. Just one body and a 50mm lens. Small potatoes compared to what I take with me to a football game. It was a nice change of pace.

I’ll let the photos do most of the talking but the week back home was highlighted by a KSU men’s and women’s basketball games (both teams won!), a cookie decorating party, Alec’s sixth birthday party and of course Christmas. (The last time I celebrated Alec’s birthday in person, he turned one. So it was a lot of fun to be there for another celebration)

Last thing… I’m trying out a new slide show plugin to show these images. I figured clicking an arrow through a ton of images was easier than scrolling down forever. Not sold on it yet that’s why you see that annoying “free version” thing.
