I love it when I show up to an assignment and the contact says “Hi! Feel free to go wherever you want. Just make yourself at home.”
A one-screen movie theatre in High Spring, Fla. is trying to raise money to convert to an all-digital format. Hollywood will only be sending out digital versions of movies and the Priest Theatre only has an old-school reel projector. It was like a trip back in time hanging out at this place for an evening. Owned by the Alligood family, the mom sold tickets from the front window, the dad took the tickets just inside the front door, one son sold concessions while the other spliced film and got the projectors ready for the flick.
