Call to Post (Photos)

One of the best parts about traveling to cover football games is experiencing the traditions of other teams. Right before kickoff at Kentucky football games, they play the Call to Post. Not what you’d expect at a football game… unless you’re in Kentucky.  I got goosebumps seeing this sky and hearing the call. Pretty awesome tradition. A sold out stadium helped too.

The month included four UF games, a handful of high school games and other typical newspaper assignments. Two mascots decided to try their luck at my job. I asked each one if I could try their job. They just shook their head. One of these days I’ll get to be a mascot. Until then, enjoy these photos.
